Community Division
Concert in the Park
Chair: Cricket Anderson, Co-Chair: Jim Taylor
Purpose: Provide a variety of family-oriented weekly concerts for the general public in the park during the summer months.
Task: Coordinate all aspects of entertainment line-up, marketing, concessions, public safety, and sponsorship to cover events.
Education
Chair: Sandi Eubanks Co-Chair: NiCol DeBruicker
Purpose: Provide opportunities for business community/family/school partnerships. Broadcast the benefits living in Navarre and attending Navarre schools.
Task: Provide liaison between businesses and schools; print school accomplishments and news in the E-News and Chamber newsletter; Recognize Teachers of the Quarter and Year at seven schools; participate in Golden Apple Awards, and select Navarre High School Scholarship recipients.
Fun Fest
Chair: John Hays; Co-Chair: Jim Taylor
Purpose: To rally the community for a weekend of fun, music, food, arts & crafts, and patriotism culminating in a spectacular fireworks display on the Sound.
Task: Plan, organize and execute all activities of FunFest.
Membership Division
Ambassadors
Chair: Linda Fusco
Purpose: Promote, support and encourage our business community and promote the goodwill of the Chamber mission. Represent Chamber at official business functions.
Task: Recruit additional ambassadors who will commit to represent the chamber at ribbon cuttings and business mixers. Get personal commitments from ambassadors to attend and assist with business functions of the chamber.
Small Business Development
Chair: Regina Carter, Co-Chair: Tami DeGroote
Purpose: To provide the Navarre Chamber General Membership resources that will help their businesses grow and prosper.
Task: To enhance and support a business environment for existing and potential businesses. Membership Retention and Small Business of the Month are sub-committees of this committee. Plan and host monthly business seminars and plan and execute annual Business Expo.
Mentors Program
Chair: Mike Sandler, Co-Chair: Susan Durfee
Purpose: To support and welcome new members in the transition to the Chamber.
Task: Assign individual members to mentor new members for a period of three months, contacting by phone and attending meetings and events with new members.
Awards and Installations Banquet
Chair: Cinnamon Holderman
Purpose: To recognize annual award winners, select the Citizen of the Year, recognize outgoing directors, celebrate the previous year and install new directors.
Task: To plan and execute the annual program to include invitations, sponsorships and donations to ensure ticket costs are low and the event is profitable.
Progress/Development Division
Military Affairs
Chair: Jon Kagan, Co-Chair: John W. Hall
Purpose: To provide service to the military through support of the military mission and enhancement of the relationship between the Navarre community and the military.
Task: To coordinate and act as a liaison between the Chamber and the military; enhance better understanding of military missions by hosting military briefers at luncheon meetings; host an annual military appreciation breakfast; support the awards programs for all military installations within the area; keep Chamber members aware of military affairs; promote and encourage the Navarre community to continue to provide the superb quality of life deserved by our military.
Government Affairs
Chair: Ralph Agnew, Co-Chair: Etta Lawlor
Purpose: Provide coordination between the Chamber and governmental bodies, Chambers of Commerce, transportation officials, and special committees.
Task: Insure the collective voice of the Navarre Beach area is represented and heard in government assemblies; liaison to elected officials and governmental meetings; transportation officials, study advantages of single district elections in the county; 10-year review of business & industry tax abatements and incentives. Promote safe roads, bike paths, and walkways on Hwy 98.
Chamber Foundation
The Foundation is a 501C3, non-profit corporation with its own mission, program of work and board of directors.
