Participate in a Chamber Committee - one of the best ways to network and contribute to the success of your Chamber and the community.

COMMUNITY DIVISION

Nature Walk/Building Maintenance - Chair Bart Pullum
Purpose: Facilitate the general ground maintenance, landscaping, upkeep and beautification of the Navarre Nature Walk Park and structures.
Task: Coordinate the maintenance, improvements and general upkeep of Navarre Nature Walk Park and maintain the structures as needed.

Christmas in the Park Committee - Chair Barbara Gibbs, Co-Chair Jean Goodin
Purpose: Create an old-fashioned Christmas Celebration for area residents of all ages at the Nature Walk Park to kick off the holiday season. To involve the entire community and attract new participants.
Task: Maintain a program and coordinate with local businesses, schools and civic organizations to decorate the park, schedule activities, and serve refreshments in celebration of the holiday season.

Clean Community - Chair Shirley Brown, Co-Chair Nancy Sandler
Purpose: Promote litter control, recycling and beautification of our business and residential communities, and act as liaison with the Santa Rosa County Clean Community System.
Task: Organize cleanups; support County Trash Amnesty Day; continue tree planting program (Arbor Day in January is a good time for this project); liaison with Median Beautification; "Community Pride Award" for businesses awarded on an as-needed basis.

Education Committee - Chair Jean Goodin, Co-Chair Carolyn McLaughlin
Purpose: Provide opportunities for business community/family/school partnerships. Broadcast the benefits living in Navarre and attending Navarre schools.
Task: Provide liaison between businesses and schools; print school accomplishments and news in the E-News and Chamber newsletter; Recognize Teachers of the Quarter and Year at seven schools; participate in Golden Apple Awards, and select Navarre High School Scholarship recipients.

FunFest Committee - Co-Chairs Mark Williams, Cinnamon Holderman and Jon Kagan
Purpose: To rally the community for a weekend of fun, music, food, arts & crafts, and patriotism culminating in a spectacular fireworks display on the Sound.
Task: Plan, organize and execute all activities of FunFest.

Golf Tournament Committee - Chair Mark Williams, Co-Chair Bart Pullum
Purpose: Coordinate Chamber Golf Tournament
Task: Organize and conduct the Chamber Golf Tournament in such a way that the Chamber and its members are represented in a positive way; be profitable in order to support the scholarship program for Navarre High School seniors.

Healthcare Committee - Chair NiCol DeBruicker, Co-Chair Dr. Joel Rudman
Purpose: To act as a liaison between the area medical community and Chamber, its membership and local residents.
Task: Educate and inform area residents as it relates to available medical services; host workshops or seminars to position the Navarre medical and preventative community to best serve the local area.

MEMBERSHIP DIVISION

Ambassadors Committee - Chair Chanda Ryan
Purpose: Promote, support and encourage our business community. Represent Chamber at official business functions.
Task: Recruit additional ambassadors who will commit to represent the chamber at ribbon cuttings and business mixers. Get personal commitments from ambassadors to attend and assist with business functions of the chamber.

Small Business Development Committee - Chair Marcia Monti, Co-Chair Tom Vatter
Purpose: To provide the Navarre Chamber General Membership resources that will help their businesses grow and prosper.
Tasks: To enhance and support a business environment for existing and potential businesses. Membership Retention and Business over Breakfast are sub-committees of this committee.

Mentors Program - Chair Cinnamon Holderman, Co-Chair Joanne Ryan
Purpose: To support new members in the transition to the Chamber making them feel welcome.
Task: Assign individual members to mentor new members for a period of three months, contacting by phone and attending meetings and events with new members.

Emerging Leaders of Navarre - Chair Betsy Soles, Co-Chair Brooke Ingalls
Purpose: To enhance membership by reaching out to young Chamber members between ages 21-39.
Task: To be active in the community representing the Chamber by assisting with events and coordinating tours of Chamber businesses and sponsoring special events.

PROGRESS & DEVELOPMENT DIVISION

Transportation Committee - Chair Bart Pullum, Co-Chair Sandi Kemp
Purpose: Promote safe, efficient and effective transportation systems.
Task: Look at boundary land to base for by-pass; support and encourage Hwy. 98 improvements; monitor the progress of four-laning Hwy 87; study the construction of residential development interconnectors for reducing Hwy. 98 traffic; support and encourage construction of a bike path throughout Navarre; support walkways across Hwy. 98.

Military Affairs Committee - Chair Greg Black, Co-Chair Bill Phillips
Purpose: To provide service to the military through support of the military mission and enhancement of the relationship between the Navarre community and the military.
Tasks: To coordinate and act as a liaison between the Chamber and the military; ensure opportunity for all committee members to represent the Chamber of Commerce at various functions for all military installations within the area; enhance better understanding of military missions by hosting military briefers at luncheon meetings; host an annual military appreciation breakfast; support the awards programs for all military installations within the area; keep Chamber members aware of military affairs; promote and encourage the Navarre community to continue to provide the superb quality of life deserved by our military.

Government Affairs Committee - Chair Morris Fraser, Co-Chair Sandi Kemp
Purpose: Provide coordination between the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and various governmental bodies, Chambers of Commerce, and special committees.
Task: Maintain Chamber's role in the community to insure the collective voice of the Navarre Beach Area is represented and heard in government assemblies; liaison to elected officials and governmental meetings; study advantages of single district elections in the county; 10-year review of business & industry tax abatements and incentives; coordinate with the Supervisor of Elections for voter activities.

Chamber Foundation Committee - Chair Bart Pullum
Purpose: Fund Chamber projects not otherwise within the Chamber budget.
Task: Create a nontaxable foundation for funding.

Marine Sanctuary Committee - Chair Charlene Mauro Fearon, Board Liaison Cinnamon Holderman
Purpose: To promote the biodiversity of fish and marine invertebrates, economic impact and protection of Navarre Beach and the surrounding coastal habitats, through the creation and maintenance of the Near-Shore Marine Sanctuary on Navarre Beach. This will be accomplished through education, research and the promotion of recreation and tourism opportunities.
Task: By raising awareness to promote community support and funds for the creation of the Near-Shore Marine Sanctuary on Navarre Beach.
