Military Affairs Committee     

Chair: Tony Hughes  Co-Chair: Charlie Brown

Purpose:

Task:

To provide service to the military through support of the military mission and enhancement of the relationship between the Navarre community and the military.

To coordinate and act as a liaison between the Chamber and the military; enhance better understanding of military missions by hosting military briefers at luncheon meetings; host an annual military appreciation breakfast; support the awards programs for all military installations within the area; keep Chamber members aware of military affairs; promote and encourage the Navarre community to continue to provide the superb quality of life deserved by our military.



Government Affairs Committee     

Chair:  Stacy Dahlberg   (Absorbed Transportation Committee)

Purpose:

Task:

Provide coordination between the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and various governmental bodies, Chambers of Commerce, transportation officials and special committees.

Maintain Chamber's role in the community to insure the collective voice of the Navarre Beach Area is represented and heard in government assemblies; liaison to elected officials and governmental meetings; study advantages of single district elections in the county; 10-year review of business & industry tax abatements and incentives; coordinate with the Supervisor of Elections for voter activities. Promote safe roads, bike paths, and walkways on Hwy. 98.



Chamber Foundation Committee     

Chair: Yancey Langston  Co-Chair: Jon Kagan

Purpose:

Task:

Fund Chamber projects not otherwise within the Chamber budget.

Create a nontaxable foundation for funding.




Marine Sanctuary Committee     

Chair: Mark Griffith  Co-Chair: Cinnamon Holderman

Task:

Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary

To promote the biodiversity of fish and marine invertebrates, economic impact and protection of Navarre Beach and the surrounding coastal habitats, through the creation and maintenance of the Near-Shore Marine Sanctuary on Navarre Beach. This will be accomplished through education, research and the promotion of recreation and tourism opportunities.

By raising awareness to promote community support and funds for the creation of the Near-Shore Marine Sanctuary on Navarre Beach.
