    Job Description

    The SpringHill Suites by Marriott on Navarre Beach is seeking an ambitious, customer driven Sales Coordinator to work alongside the Director of Sales in a fast paced Sales Office. The ideal candidate is positive, competitive, and truly enjoys engaging with people. A passion for this industry and a solid understanding of the Marriott brand and Front Desk procedures/basic hotel operations is a plus.

     

    Job Duties Include:

    • Represent yourself and the hotel with the highest level of professionalism
    • Respond to sales office phone calls, email, and walk-in sales inquiries and group leads in a timely and professional manner
    • Give potential clients/guests tours of the facilities and guest rooms, sell hotel amenities, features, location, etc
    • Respond to RFP's through various channels
    • Prepare and submit group proposals tailored to attract the client or group based on their needs, prepare contracts and any other necessary sales correspondence including invoices
    • Log daily activity, contacts, traces, etc in Hotel Salespro
    • Correspond and serve as point of contact for groups, from the time of booking to check out
    • Process payment for groups & events
    • Coordinate event details with other departments and/or vendors, assist with setup, cleanup when needed
    • Maintain strong relationships with local attractions, restaurants, third party vendors and community leaders 
    • Work closely with the Director of Sales on various assignments and marketing efforts including sales promotions, advertisements, ordering promotional items
    • Create and maintain group blocks in property management system (Fosse)
    • Maintain knowledge of local events and other factors influencing the market 
    • Maintain knowledge of competitor hotels, their offerings and effectively differentiate our hotel from the competition
    • Assist with making, modifying and/or cancelling reservations
    • Assist with planning quarterly Art of Local Events
    • Assist with social media promotions 
    • Assist with Chamber events, trade-shows, and other community events when necessary
    • Assist with tele-prospecting, internet prospecting and in-house guest prospecting to identify potential new business
    • Attend monthly revenue meetings to evaluate business on the books, trends, group pickup and implement strategies to maximize revenue moving forward
    • Design/order sales collateral and promotional items
    • Respond to Tripadvisor reviews
    • Purchase and put together items for hotel packages and special occasions 
    • Assist with Marketing Plan and Quarterly Action Plans
    • Perform other duties as assigned
