    Job Description
    The Northwest Florida Volunteer Firefighter Weekend (NFVFW) Council is seeking a Temporary Part-time Grant Administrator to manage a FEMA Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER) grant, which includes a regional training scholarship program, retention and recruitment workshops, and a marketing campaign to recruit volunteer firefighters.  The Grant Administrator will be required to work during the annual event in September to support the logistics/scholarships of the grant.  The attendance for the annual event is Wednesday through Sunday.   Additional travel maybe required for other conferences/meetings throughout the year.
    The salary for this position is $25 per hour with an average of 30 – 50 hours per month, and the following skills are necessary for this position. 
    • Grant involvement (local, state or federal)
    • Event management
    • Budget management
    • Marketing: social media, print, events, other
    • Excel spreadsheet creation and maintenance
    • Graphic design a plus
    • Website development and/or editing a plus
    • Nonprofit or fire service experience a plus
    Duties include but not limited to assisting the Council’s accountant in maintaining an accurate accounting of revenues and expenditures, including day-to-day transactions and scholarship reimbursements; ensure U.S. General Services Administration and FEMA/DHS SAFER grant compliance in all aspects of this grant are followed; assist Council with the scholarship logistics of the Recruitment and Retention Program; provide the Council and FEMA/DHS with quarterly progress updates and reports; monitor the grant program both programmatically and financially, to ensure that the project goals, objectives, performance requirements, timelines, milestone completion, budgets, and other related program criteria are being met; and manage all the SAFER reporting processes including but not limited to the final performance report.
