Shalimar, Florida (October 11, 2018) – The Air Force Enlisted Village’s Gates Welcome Building located at 92 Sunset Lane, Shalimar, is serving as a drop off point for supplies for victims of Hurricane Michael. The Gates Welcome Building will be open Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday, October 12 through Friday, October 19 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to collect items. (Directional signs will up October 12.)
The following items are being accepted based on current needs:
• Nonperishable packaged food items
• Bottled water
At this time, we cannot accept clothing, shoes, or perishable food. Please do not drop off items when the center is closed. Please check www.afev.us

Monetary donations are also being accepted at www.afev.us/help
. All monetary donations received for Hurricane Michael Emergency Relief are restricted for hurricane relief only and will be used to purchase necessary emergency relief items.
The Air Force Enlisted Village is partnering with the local community and local military installations to collect and deliver items to Tyndall AFB and the surrounding areas devastated by Hurricane Michael.
