Florida-Alabama TPO to Hold 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan Public Workshop in June

The Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) will hold a public workshop to solicit input for the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) goals and objectives. The workshop will be held at 4 p.m.Thurs., June 13, 2019 in the Marie Ella Davis Community Center, 16 Raymond St., Pensacola, Fla.

Every five years, the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) updates its Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), which must maintain a 20-year horizon at adoption. The LRTP identifies projects that support roadway capacity, freight, public transit, and bicycle-pedestrian infrastructure needed in the urbanized areas of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in Florida, and the City of Orange Beach and the community of Lillian in Baldwin County Ala. The goals and objectives will guide the LRTP and will play a critical role in the development of the Evaluation Criteria to rank the needed projects.
