    Hello, Friends —

Monday is Memorial Day, a somber day on which we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to America. We all owe these heroes a tremendous debt of gratitude. I hope you will join me in reflection and prayer as we honor those who have perished for our nation. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

On Wednesday, I gave a lengthy speech to Concerned Veterans for America and Vote Vets, where I proposed an “America First” foreign policy. Many people who are in favor of large-scale military intervention say that it is America’s “moral duty” to intervene in conflicts across the world. I disagree. Real morality is standing up to the pro-war special interests and global powerbrokers, and affirming forever that the lives of American troops are not for sale. Exercising restraint is a display of strength, not weakness. For more information, see this article. A video of the speech is below:

In Congress this week, we passed legislation denouncing the horrifying and cruel practice of female genital mutilation, which has harmed upwards of 200 million women worldwide. We also passed legislation to help veterans get the care they need, and legislation called the SECURE Act, which makes common-sense reforms to retirement savings plans, allowing Americans more flexibility to save their hard-earned money. The fact that this bill passed 417 to 3 shows that bipartisanship is possible!

Finally, President Trump announced yesterday that he was authorizing Attorney General Barr to declassify any relevant documents relating to surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016. I strongly support this bold move for transparency. If laws were broken, knowing how, when, where, and why this happened will keep it from happening again! I discussed this important order last night on Hannity (hosted by Dan Bongino) — watch it below:

    FORWARD MARCH

On Wednesday, my staff attended the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs “Forward March” event in Pensacola. This initiative, created by Governor DeSantis, will help ensure that the veterans in our state have access to the care they need!

    GOODBYE, FAT ALBERT

Fat Albert, the KC-130T and a beloved part of the Blue Angels show for many years, is retiring. We’ve enjoyed watching Fat Albert for years in Air Shows with the Blue Angels, and we’re sad to see it go. The Navy has said, however, that a replacement may be coming. Read more below:
