West Florida Baptist Church is hosting the third annual Love My Neighbor Day on August 25th and we’d love your help!

Love My Neighbor Day (#LMND18) is a free event aimed at bringing together neighbors in Santa Rosa County to foster positive relationships and to ensure that our community remains one of the best in the nation to raise a family.

WFBC hosts the family-fun day of events, including a variety of activities and giveaways such as bounce houses, face painting, helicopter demonstration, carnival games, snow cones, and FREE FOOD—but we could use your help.

Only through partnerships with organizations and local businesses such as yours can Love My Neighbor Day be provided at no cost to the community, an event that would cost over $10,000 to host

    Here’s what we need:
    • Community Volunteers (Previous volunteers include: OneBlood, Pace Fire Department, Milton Police Department, U.S. Navy Recruiter, etc.)
    • Activities (Including: face painting, bounce house, parachute drop, K-9 demo, helicopter demo, etc.)
    • Supplies (Including: food and drinks, community tents, sound system, portable toilet rentals, outdoor air units/cooling stations, etc.)
    • Financial Support (All donations are tax-deductible and are used to fund event)
For more information about the event, visit our website. You can also stay up-to-date by following our Facebook event. For a recap of last year’s event, check out this video.

If you would like to volunteer your services or make a donation to the event, please let us know as soon as possible by replying to this email or calling the church office at 850-623-8984, and specify that you are interested in helping out with Love My Neighbor Day.

    About SAFER

SAFER is the successor of the Santa Rosa Long Term Recovery Organization which developed after hurricanes Ivan and Dennis. During periods when there are no disasters, SAFER attempts to meet the needs of the less fortunate in the community.
MISSION: to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disasters, while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort, through cooperation in the four phases of disaster: preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation.
VISION: To create the most resilient community possible to safeguard our way of life.
SAFER Santa Rosa County is a humanitarian association of independent organizations who may be active in all phases of disaster.
SAFER Santa Rosa is not a competing or exclusionary organization. SAFER Santa Rosa is intended to be a network for organizations active in disaster. Each SAFER member organization will maintain its own identity and independence while closely collaborating with other SAFER Santa Rosa member organizations.
