The Panhandle Butterfly House was named Member of the Month. The popular attraction first opened its doors on Memorial Day 1997 thanks to the efforts of Jack and Fonda Wetherell, the Chamber, Santa Rosa Clean Community, Inc., UF/IFAS Cooperative Extension, Florida Master Gardeners, garden clubs, businesses and community volunteers. Construction and renovations to the structure have been made entirely by volunteer labor. Panhandle
