Message from President/CEO . . .
The mission of our Chamber is the promotion of civic and economic prosperity throughout our community. The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has been serving this community since 1972. Within that time, we have experienced many challenges and changes. It is my job to lead forward in an effort to encourage prosperity and quality of place in Navarre.
I am ever mindful of delivering value to our members. Earlier this year, our Board of Directors approved a stout and substantive scope of work. Our Chamber is organized with 4 pillars which support our overall mission; Community Division, Membership Division, Progress and Development Division, and Special Projects and Task Forces. Additionally, our Chamber works closely with the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Military Affairs Committee, and the University of West Florida’s Small Business Development Center. Our Chamber offers the "Ask Adam Series". Every Tuesday, our members can take advantage of free expert business consulting from representatives of UWF’s Small Business Development Center which has a satellite office within our Chamber.
Our Community Division is responsible for hosting Christmas in the Park, The Navarre Christmas Parade, Tunes By The Dunes free summer concert series, Small Bites Under the Moonlight, The Navarre Women’s Expo, and Shop Small events. Further our Community Division houses our Education Committee which funds college scholarships for graduating seniors from Navarre High School and recognizes outstanding teachers quarterly and annually.
Our Membership Division houses our prestigious ambassador and mentor program, The Navigators. This group oversees ribbon cuttings, our monthly membership breakfast (Commerce and Coffee), and Business After Hours. Our Small Business Committee works tirelessly to provide relevant professional development educational opportunities to our members. They also actively participate in several economic development organizations on both local and regional levels. Women managed and owned businesses is a fast growing segment within our membership. Our Women 2 Women Connecting event provides leadership, marketing, and networking opportunities for executive women.
Our Progress and Development Division is responsible for working closely with our government agencies and our Santa Rosa County Tourism Development Office . They effectively advocate on our behalf and keep our membership well informed on a host of issues effecting the health of our business community.
Our Chamber is growing, because our community’s needs are growing. Our Chamber has 20 active committees working to deliver relevant programs to our members. We hold meetings and programs at our Visitor Information Center. We have also expanded to a new location adding a classroom, conference room, and additional office spaces. Information on our new location, benefits, and programs is readily available on website.
It is a privilege and honor to serve our members and this historic organization.
Forward we go!
Tamara Fountain, President/CEO
