Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Serving on the board is a rewarding experience and an opportunity for professional growth. Completing this form will help you understand the skills, time and resources required for this leadership position.

You may find it helpful to read through the entire form before you begin filling it out. The form will be kept confidential and on file at the Chamber office for two years from the date it is received. These nomination forms are used by the Chamber’s Nominating Committee to identify and evaluate potential board candidates.

• Out of cycle vacancies are filled by appointment of the Board. The nominating committee will submit 3 names to the board for a vote.
• Vacancies, due to end of cycle positions, are filled through the nomination and election process between August and October.

Requirements of Directors

Please initial in the space provided indicating that you have read and understand each item:

• The term of office is three years. Eligible to serve 2 three year terms.

• The Board of Directors meets monthly, usually on the first Wednesday at 7:45 am.

• All Board Members are expected to take an active leadership role in the Chamber, which includes chairing or co-chairing a committee.

• It is estimated that the time commitment for a Board Member is at least five (5) hours a month.

• Since the Board of Directors is responsible for directing the activities and functions of the Chamber, Board Members are expected to attend as many Chamber functions as possible. It is essential for Board Members to be connected to the membership of the Chamber through attendance, activities and functions of the Chamber so they can make informed decisions.

• All Board Members should participate in member recruitment.
