    As e-cCommerce continues to rise, so too do deceptive methods of advertising, including fake reviews, undeclared paid endorsements and other practices that fall foul of federal laws.

    • Backstage Capital is a venture capital fund that invests in startups and small businesses. This year, entrepreneurs can apply for the funding they need through Backstage Capital by outlining the financial needs of their business on the online application
    • This quarter's small business grant sponsored by Nav has officially opened. To apply, make a free account on Nav's webpage, fill out their application explaining what you would use the grant money for, and then follow the steps outlined on the application page to post about the contest on your business's social media. Applications must be submitted before October 28th and winners could receive up to $10,000.
    • Applications are now open for the 2022 Tory Burch Foundation Fellows program. This annual program provides women entrepreneurs from any industry with the opportunity to complete virtual education programming, get one-on-one guidance from leaders in the industry and receive a $5,000 education grant. The application period closes on November 12.
    • The Live Your Dream awards seeks to help women have it all, with over $2.4 million distributed to over 1,500 women annually. Eligibility guidelines for women are listed on the organization's website, and the deadline to apply is November 15.
    • KKR launched its Small Business Builders fund in partnership with Hello Alice to provide COVID-19 recovery grants of up to $10,000 to small businesses. In addition to capital, grantees also gain access to technical expertise, mentoring and coaching opportunities from KKR, as well as Hello Alice's network of resources and online community.
    • Also in partnership with Hello Alice, Alibaba.com is sponsoring a $500,000 grant to help support online entrepreneurs in bringing their ideas to life. Chosen winners will receive $10,000 each toward their businesses. To enter, head to their website and share why you think your project or business is innovative in its industry.
    •  This grant from the Barstool Fund is for small businesses affected by COVID-19 who kept on many employees during the pandemic and have a proven track record of success. Winners are chosen on a rolling basis; apply today for a chance to receive funding for your business.
