    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Baptist Health Care COVID-19 Update #48 – BHC pharmacy director answers questions, concerns about COVID-19 vaccine
    Sept. 3, 2021
Baptist Health Care President and CEO Mark Faulkner said the COVID-19 vaccine is the “pathway to normalcy” in his video released Sept. 3 and introduced viewers to BHC Corporate Director of Pharmacy Rudy Seelmann who addressed common vaccine questions, explained how it works and why it is safe and effective.
The video can be viewed at ebaptisthealthcare.org.
Faulkner also discussed BHC’s affiliation with the Mayo Clinic Care Network and provided resources from Mayo Clinic that provide additional information about COVID-19 and the vaccine.
Baptist Health Care encourages everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community. Visit floridahealth.gov for a nearby vaccine location.
Because masking is also an important tool in preventing the spread of COVID-19, Baptist Health Care encourages everyone to wear a mask while indoors and to practice other infection prevention protocols as outlined at cdc.gov.
In his community update, Faulkner also said hospitalizations have leveled off this week and is optimistic that a downward trend may have begun.
