    Chrisoula's Cheesecake Shoppe Bakery: Koulourake Demonstration
     
    Date: June 7, 2022  Tuition: $20
    Our friends, Chrisoula and Tony, have invited us back to their Garden St. shop of goodies. We will Koulourake, Greek Butter Cookies, so you may want to bring your apron. The shop is no longer serving lunch but we can enjoy cheesecake, cookies and coffee after the class. Due to health rules, we cannot bake on-site, the cookies we prepare but plastic bags will be provided to take home and bake our work. Chrisoula will have samples for us to enjoy that morning.

    The "Chappie" James Museum of Pensacola

    This historical museum showcases the life of General Daniel “Chappie” James and his accomplishments. Born and raised in Pensacola and educated at his mother’s school, he graduated from Washington High School and went on to become one of the famous Tuskegee Airmen. The museum’s interactive center focuses on discipline, teamwork, self-esteem and confidence—all essential to good leadership.

    Habitat Restoration: Pollinator Gardening
     
    Date: June 29, 2022  Tuition: $15
    Dig into how gardening restores habitats for wildlife and how small efforts can result in major changes. Learn why it is critically important now, things you can do that will make a difference when done collectively and how to choose plants that will have the most impact. Paul Bennett’s property covers Northwest Florida’s three major ecosystems- coastal, freshwater and upland areas.
