• CARES ACT Grant Applications for Non-Profits for Reimbursement of Covid expenses

    Please find attached the CARES Act Non-Profit Grant Program Parameters and the CARES Act Non-Profit Grant Application that we just received.  We have not capped the total allocation for the overall program nor have we set a limit for each individual applicant.  The clear intent is to meet the need.  We know that all requests will undergo a third party review for eligibility so we think it best to share the application and to note we recommend each charity interpret the language broadly when filling out the application. 

    Approved expenses may be less than requested on the applications. We intend this program to stabilize the network of charities who have unbudgeted COVID related expenses as services provided by all charities are at risk and further; government cannot reach the people in need without a healthy benevolence network.
     
    This application is for each of organizations to fill out to cover your own internal COVID costs. 
     
    For clarity; Interfaith Ministries and WE CARE may be entering into an agreement to help us provide rapid rehousing assistance going forward throughout the term of the CARES Act spending period so reimbursement of those expenses will occur separately as part of those agreements.
     
    Please think about this as your application to recover costs from March 27, 2020 through August 31, 2020 and submit as soon as you are able to help us budget.
     
    Then, keep in mind right before the program closes we would like for you to fill out another application, including your COVID expenses from September through November.
     
    Also, feel free to share these documents with any other non-profit leaders with whom you have contact. 

    Many will ask; “Can we be reimbursed for lost revenue due to cancelled fundraisers due to COVID?”.  Unfortunately, these types of requests will not pass eligibility.

    We would like to share with you the housing assistance program which is open and pays for past rents, mortgages, and all types of utilities is very well funded through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation and accessed through the Santa Rosa County Housing Office but; is currently underutilized. https://www.santarosa.fl.gov/823/CRF---RentalMortgage-Assistance
