Shortly after receiving support from the UWWF COVID-19 Fund, a local partner agency got a call from a nurse about a 50-year-old patient with an empty pantry. Tom had just one small bag of expired food in his home. He had no income and serious health issues, and was desperate for help. With money from UWWF’s Response Fund grant, the partner agency was able to deliver groceries to Tom in less than an hour after the call came through. He was very grateful and kept thanking the nurse for the support. Your donation makes a difference right here in our community, every day. The name and photo have been changed to keep the client's identity confidential. |
