    Update 3/20/20: 

    The Santa Rosa County Tax Collector serves nearly a thousand customers per day. Stan Nichols takes his sworn obligation to provide service to the public as well as being committed to the health and safety of employees and customers seriously.  In order to protect customers and staff from the spread of COVID-19, as well as follow the CDC guidelines, some further precautions are being implemented.
    As of Monday, 3/23/20, and until further notice, we are closing the lobby of all of our locations. Our employees will continue to assist as many citizens as possible by way of Drive-Thru at our Milton location as well as by way of phone queue, (850-983-1800) and online at www.santarosatax.com.
    The majority of transactions can be handled online at www.santarosatax.com or through the mail. These include but are not limited to Tag Renewals, Driver License Renewals, Concealed Weapon Renewals/Applications, Business Tax Receipts, Parking Permit Applications/Renewals, Hunting and Fishing, Lost or Stolen Plates, and Property Tax Payments.

    Our staff will continue to be available to help citizens through electronic means.
    Remember, A 30-Day extension has been issued for those citizens whose licenses or identification cards expire between March 16, 2020 and April 15, 2020. A copy of the Emergency Order can be accessed on our home page at www.santarosatax.com (print and carry with your license). 
    You can also check the status of your current Driver license online at: https://services.flhsmv.gov/dlcheck/ 
    Please contact 850-617-3000 for individual Driver License re-instatement transactions.
    Full payment of fees is required at time of service, and payment may be made by eCheck, debit, or credit cards. Payments made by eCheck are fee-free for tag renewals. Credit and debit transactions are subject to service fees charged by the credit card vendor(s). If you must pay by cash, you may visit our drive thru at our Milton location. (6495 Caroline Street, SUITE E, Milton FL 32570).
