The Florida Chamber has received several questions from some local chambers and businesses on the COVID-19 liability protections bill that passed earlier this year.

While SB 72 has been in effect for nearly 5 months, concerns have been raised about the CDC’s mask recommendation as a result of the Delta variant.

Carolyn Johnson, the Florida Chamber's policy expert on this bill who was instrumental in its formation and passage, has drafted the attached memo to answer many of the questions they have received.

As always, if you have questions about legal interpretation of varying guidance or how to comply with SB 72, you should contact an attorney.

If you want to share any input or have further questions, please let me know.

The Florida Chamber will be in further touch with us in the next week or so to discuss the needed extension of provisions in SB 72 for health care facilities and workers.
