Nonprofit and Philanthropic Leaders Discuss the Impact of Giving and Wealth Transfer in Securing the Future of ALL Floridians

David Odahowski has been President & CEO of Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation for over 30 years, championing philanthropic freedom and promoting the importance of well-managed and governed nonprofits. The Edyth Bush Foundation is one of central Florida's leading grant-making institutions, working at the intersection of business, government, and nonprofits. David will be setting the stage for our philanthropy-focused discussion, "Florida Nonprofit and Philanthropic Sectors: A Look at Florida Giving Patterns and Wealth Transfer."

Sabeen Perwaiz, President & CEO of Florida Nonprofit Alliance (FNA), works to strengthen, promote, and advocate for Florida's nonprofit sector. FNA is a central resource and referral center for nonprofits, providing a unified voice at the local, state, and federal levels to inform and expand their influence. At the Forum, Sabeen will be discussing FNA's recently released Giving in Florida report that looks at motivation, priorities and attitudes related to household giving across Florida.

With over 14 years of experience in the field of philanthropy, Ashley Dietz currently serves as President & CEO of Florida Philanthropic Network (FPN). FPN is a statewide association of grantmakers working to strengthen the philanthropic sector through research, education, and public policy. During a fireside chat with Sabeen, Ashley will be providing insight into FPN’s 2022 Transfer of Wealth Study which looks at the generational impact of wealth transfer, the implications and possibilities.
