Florida’s Education and Workforce Leaders Unite to Address Florida’s Talent War
The Florida Chamber and Florida Chamber Foundation Launch Future of Work Florida Initiative to Connect Florida Businesses With Talent Solutions
The Florida Chamber Foundation recently surveyed Florida’s job creators for the Florida Workforce Needs Study 2.0 and discovered that nearly 72% have experienced difficulty in finding qualified talent for open positions over the past year. Additionally, previous research found that almost 67% of Florida’s employers are not aware of the state and federal programs available to help close workforce skills gaps.
The Florida Chamber’s Future of Work Florida Initiative, informed by the Florida Chamber Foundation’s research, is a newly launched effort laser-focused on turning Florida’s workforce challenges into opportunities. By uniting Florida’s business leaders, HR professionals and hiring managers with the resources available through Florida's workforce, education and training partners, we can tackle Florida’s talent crisis head on – as a united front.
