    Baptist Health Care Foundation Awards Scholarships
    Pensacola, Fla. (June 14, 2021)Thirty-seven scholarships have been awarded to Baptist Health Care team members and family dependents who are continuing to further their educational goals.
     
    Thirty-two of the recipients received $1,000 scholarships from the Helping Hands team member giving program of the Baptist Health Care Foundation. Five recipients were each awarded $2,500 through the Luther and Kathy Taylor Nursing Scholarship Endowment, which was established through the generosity of the Taylor family in 2008 to assist students as they pursue a nursing degree.
     
    Helping Hands scholarship recipients are: Jeffrey Bailey, Gwendolyn Betts, Shelda Broughton, Shannon Brunot, Shawonda Buskey, Courtney Cook, James Cook, Trenton Darnell, Brittany Davis, Charlotte Dirks, Madison Eccles, Lakeisha Freeman, Spencer Garrett, Nina Garrett, Abigail Hack, Anistie Held, Megan Hensley, Candice-Marie Lafferty, Christopher Madison, Alejandra Martinez, Clinton Miller, Lonni Moorer, Emilee Osborne, April Pugh, Karen Pyle, Michelle Quay, Lindsey Rigby, Veronica Ruiz, Elizabeth Russell, Anna Smith, Stephen Soderlind and Alexis Spears.
     
    Luther and Kathy Taylor Nursing scholarship recipients are: Shawonda Buskey, Karen Pyle, Lindsey Rigby, Veronica Ruiz and Annah Salter.

    In more than 10 years, the Foundation has awarded $304,000 in Helping Hands scholarships and $72,500 in Taylor scholarships.
