    I am so excited to tell you about a few of the fantastic things we have in store for you as a Navarre Chamber Member, but first, I want to discuss who we are as a Chamber and what that means.
     
    YOUR Chamber is a 501c6 nonprofit; as members it is essential for you to understand what this IRS determination means and how it pertains to our operation and how funds are utilized.
     
    The IRS defines a chamber of commerce as an association of people with a shared business interest. Chambers of commerce promote the economic benefits of all businesses in a given area, which in our case it is throughout the Navarre Area - as it has been for almost 50 years.
     
    What does this mean in regards to YOUR investment in YOUR Chamber and the Navarre Community’s future?
     
    It means that funds received, such as your membership dues, sponsorship fees and advertising investments go to providing a professional staff, fantastic programs, community projects and member promotions we currently offer to help increase awareness of YOUR business/organization, safeguard our community and enhance the tourism efforts of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office - specifically for the Navarre Beach area!
     
    All earnings are placed back into YOUR organization to further this mission!
     
    Our only goal is to make sure the Navarre area prospers and has a seat at the table! We are not here make a profit, but to provide these fantastic opportunities that benefit the Navarre community and promote the businesses & organizations that serve it.
     
    We are very fortunate to have YOU - our volunteers, investors and supporters who make a difference in the Navarre area every day!
     
    YOUR membership, sponsorship and/or investment in our promotional offerings in combination with other local businesses support is the very essence of how we collectively progress our community together - gaining one more family of visitors, keep one more small business open and to help bridge the communication gap between residents and our local government.
     
    We are stronger as a Chamber and a community because of YOU, our members, and our supporters!
     
    And, we are excited to be heading into our last quarter of the year at full speed! We are working on several of our most significant projects of the year that directly impact our community. YOUR support is needed to be sure we stay on track and can continue these benefits for many years to come!
     
    One of the most important things we do is advocate for our members and the Navarre Business Community.  We are actively working with the Santa Rosa County Legislative Committee, which meets monthly with representatives from the Santa Rosa County Chamber, Gulf Breeze Chamber and the Navarre Chamber.  Currently, we are preparing for the Public Hearing with our Santa Rosa County Legislative Delegation on Monday, October 25 at 5:30 pm in Milton.  The next SRC Legislative Committee Meeting is Tuesday, October 12.  If you have any legislative issues that you would like discussed at that meeting, please contact me at Chanda.Ryan@NavarreChamber.com.
     
    NEXT:  Volunteer Opportunities - Volunteer Opportunities are always available to get involved with one of YOUR Chamber's 20 Committees.  The next volunteer opportunity is at the Wreaths Across America's Mobile Education Exhibit next Tuesday, October 5th, from 9 am to 6 pm at the Navarre United Methodist Church, 9474 Navarre Parkway.  If you are interested in volunteering in the Navarre Chamber's Military & Veteran Affairs Committee Tent, please CLICK HERE.
     
    SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:  We had planned to be in the final stages of organizing the Navarre Community's Annual Military Appreciation Picnic, but we have made the decision to postpone this popular event for active duty and retired military families to Saturday, May 14, 2022.  Please SAVE THE DATE, and make plans to join us as a sponsor, vendor or volunteer.  If you have any questions and/or you need additional information, please CLICK HERE and I will be glad to help you.

    The next BIG project is the 2022 issue of the Annual Navarre Community Guide & Business Directory! This popular guide has been an important part of our community for tourists, prospective residents and locals for 40+ years. All Chamber members are included in the Business Directory and display advertising space is also available. This is an opportunity you do not want to miss! Support YOUR Chamber and the businesses and organizations in this amazing publication!  Please be on the lookout for more details to be sent out soon!
     
    Our third project is the "2021 Shop Small Christmas Crawl" that brings an economic impact right to the doorsteps of Navarre Area businesses! This event will kick off on Saturday, November 27 (Small Business Saturday) and will be a 16-Day Shopping Extravaganza.  It will have visitors and community residents out visiting our local restaurants, retail shops, businesses and attractions to see what all the Navarre Area has to offer! This helps YOUR Chamber get a great insight as to what these types of events do for our local economy.  There is still time for YOUR business/organization to be a part of this economic impact event!
     
    Fourth on the list is the Annual Christmas in the Park and Navarre Community Christmas Parade, taking place on Saturday, December 4th in Navarre Park. This is a gift YOUR Chamber and our Community Partners have been hosting for the Navarre Community for almost 30 years.  Click Here for More Details.
     
    And, we are beginning to plan our Annual Awards and Installation event that is scheduled to be a lunchtime event at St Sylvester Catholic Church on Friday, January 28th.  This is the event where we celebrate the support and success of local businesses, local hometown heroes, and community leaders throughout the Navarre Area. and we install the 2022 Board of Directors. (If you are interested in serving the Chamber and YOUR Community as a Director, please SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION TODAY.)  We will also be presenting our year-end reports and what our community has come together to accomplish at the Annual Awards & Installation event. We would love your support in helping us honor these exceptional individuals, organizations and businesses. If you and/or YOUR business/organization is interested in being part of this event, please watch for all the details to be released soon! I do hope you will plan to join us for this very special event!   Also, please be watching for the "Call for Nominations" for the Chamber's Annual Awards" to be released soon!
