CERT Program educates citizens about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
No special skills or experience are required to take the training. Completion of the class qualifies the individual to be part of any Community Emergency Response Team in the country. Attendance at all six sessions is required to become certified and pre-registration is required.
