Baptist Health Care COVID-19 Update #21 Aug. 28 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Baptist Health Care COVID-19 Update #21
Aug. 28, 2020
In a video released August 27, Baptist Health Care President and CEO Mark Faulkner provides an update on the current status of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, and encourages the community to remain vigilant in efforts to prevent the spread of infection, particularly during the Labor Day weekend and as schools reopen. He also reminds residents to seek necessary medical care and not delay due to safety concerns. Baptist continues to implement the highest level of infection prevention measures to keep patients and caregivers safe. Postponing medical care can lead to the worsening of symptoms and further complications.
In addition to the update on COVID-19, Faulkner also notes:
- Baptist Health Care has added 27 new physicians to the organization.
- Baptist ER and Urgent Care, a unique model of health care delivery, will open soon in Navarre.
- Gulf Breeze Hospital earned a 5-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
- Progress continues on the new Baptist campus to be built at I-110 and Brent Lane.
