Florida ESF 18 Update - Tropical Storm Sally - 09/13/2020September 13, 2020
Good Evening, ESF 18 Partners-
Attached is the latest report from the state meteorology team regarding Tropical Storm Sally. Please note the following:
- The center of Tropical Storm Sally is located about 30 miles south-southwest of Naples
- Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph, and Sally is forecast to continue strengthening.
- Sally is likely to become a hurricane on Monday before making landfall early to mid next week along the northern Gulf Coast.
We will continue to monitor this storm and provide updates as they become available.
As a reminder, ESF 18 will host a brief coordination call tomorrow, September 13th at 3:00pm (EST) during which a member of the state meteorology team will provide an update on Tropical Storm Sally. Call information is as follows:
