Passport to Navarre campaign seeks to help jump-start local businesses
NAVARRE, FL -- After an unprecedented 3-months due to the COVID-19 crisis, the "Passport to Navarre" shop local campaign will soon be under way and will continue through the month of July.
“The campaign is a way to engage and support the Navarre area’s business community at a time when they could use the support now more than ever,” said Chanda Ryan, the Executive Director of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
“As the Chamber, we’re here to support the business community and get them connected to our residents and visitors.” Ryan said. "This passport program is a way incentivize shoppers to explore member businesses located in the Navarre area. It’s a great way to help jump-start some sales and get them economically viable again," she said.
“The local businesses support us, our schools and non-profits.  They provide jobs, services and we need to let them know that we are here to support them, as well,” she said.  “We want them to stay strong and vibrant. Getting a passport and taking advantage of all the great offers and spending money again in our community are the best ways to show support.”
Passports for the campaign will be available on Monday, July 1, 2020 at The Navarre Chamber Information Center located at 1804 Prado Street, and on our website www.navarrechamber.com. Shoppers can also pick up a Passport at any of the participating business locations (to be announced soon).
By taking advantage of special deals at the various businesses -- such as buy one, get one free or 10 percent off -- consumers can collect stamps from those destinations. The objective is to collect as many stamps as possible.
The campaign will conclude July 31 with a raffle drawing for “passport travelers” who receive 10 or more stamps on their passports. The more stamps one collects, the better chances are of winning a prize.
Local businesses are taking every precaution to help rebuild consumer confidence and deliver safe experiences for customers.
The Chamber, along with the businesses, are using this shop local campaign to remind local shoppers to get out and explore the Navarre area's vibrant business community.
Ryan said, "The primary mission of the Chamber is to promote civic and economic prosperity throughout our community.  We know times are tough in general, but we need small businesses and big businesses to get new customers and bring back their established customers, so this (campaign) is absolutely perfect.”

If your business/organization is interested in being a Passport Destination, please complete the APPLICATION.  The deadline for applications to be submitted is 5 pm on Friday, June 26, 2020.
