Key Takeaways from Yesterday's Local Chamber Federation Zoom Call with Special Guest State Representative Blaise Ingoglia, House Commerce Committee Chair
"Even though we are in a much better situation and managing things better than other states, we still need to push to make sure our businesses are able to function. Part of that is Covid liability. We are working on a bill right now that we expect to pass the House and that will make it very tough to file lawsuits against businesses when it comes to Covid. It becomes very difficult as a business owner to allow people inside your business for fear that a person or perhaps an employee will turn around and sue. We believe this will shut the spigot off on lawsuits that would have normally happened without a bill like this."
