    Good Morning All,
Late last night, President Trump granted, in part, Governor DeSantis’ request for a Major Disaster Declaration following the impacts of Hurricane Sally. For reference, I’ve attached a copy of the Major Disaster Declaration. Under these provisions, Escambia county will be eligible for all categories of Public Assistance. Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington Counties are eligible for Category B assistance. At this time, the request for individual assistance remains in review. Please note, the Major Disaster Declaration can be amended. You are encouraged to continue documenting and sharing all damages to private and public property with the Florida Department of Emergency Management.

While many of you are familiar with the Public Assistance process under the Stafford Act, I’ve provided a few helpful resources below, as well as in the attachments. Please note the attached FEMA PA Tutorial PowerPoint is from 2019; however, FEMA confirmed the information remains current.  As things develop, I will make sure to update you all as soon as possible.
