  • September 2022 Employment Figures Released

    Attached for your review you will find the latest release to date (September 2022) of unemployment statistics for the State of Florida released from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. September 2022 data reports the Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent MSA has 236,944 employed individuals out of total a labor force of 243,100 and a total of 6,156 individuals unemployed and actively seeking employment. The September 2022 unemployment rate for our MSA is 2.5%. It is down .02% from last month and down 1.1% from last year. 
     
    Escambia County Unemployment rate is 2.6% (4,056 unemployed individuals and actively seeking employment out of a labor force of 153,240)*

    Santa Rosa County Unemployment rate is 2.3% (2,100 unemployed individuals and actively seeking employment out of a labor force of 89,860)*
     
    Total non-agricultural employment for the Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent MSA is up 500 jobs (0.3%)*  from August 2022 to September 2022, totaling 195,900. Non-agricultural payroll is also up 8,200 jobs (4.4%)* since last year.
