All Navarre Chamber Members are invited to be part of the Tourism Committee that meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4 pm at The Navarre Chamber Information Center, 1804 Prado Street (behind TC's Front Porch).
The next meeting is this Thursday, August 8 at 4 pm.
If your business/organization is related to the Hospitality & Retail Industries, we encourage you to be part of this very active & important committee. We especially need your input this week, as we are in the process of developing a New Certification Program for hospitality workers and others in our community frequently in contact with visitors, such as real estate agents, restaurant staff and retail clerks.
The purpose of the program is to teach front-line employees and managers alike the fundamental skills and management concepts needed for achieving satisfied and repeat customers, visitors and guests. Participants in the program will learn tips for managing visitors' experiences and useful background information about our community, businesses, organizations and attractions.
The Chamber’s Tourism Committee is currently focusing on determining the needs and interests of our Hospitality & Retail Partners. And, in conjunction with the Florida SBDC at UWF, a survey is being developed to determine the specific needs of our Partners.
The program should benefit both hospitality businesses and nonprofit groups, as well as help advance the career of employees in our community.
If for some reason you are not able to attend the Tourism Committee Meeting this week, but you want your business/organization to be involved, please let me know. You are also always welcome to send another representative from your business/organization.
