”Call On Christa” is NO-COST small business consulting every Wednesday 9 am to Noon at The Navarre Chamber Information Center at 1804 Prado Street.

Christa Wilson, an Associate Director with the Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of West Florida in Pensacola.  Christa will be serving the Navarre area in the interim as a Small Business Consultant and will have open office hours at The Navarre Chamber Information Center on Wednesdays from 9 am until Noon every week. No appointment is required.  #CallOnChrista
 
Christa is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has lived in Florida most of her life. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, with a degree in English Writing and a minor in Spanish, she relocated to South Florida, where she worked in Sales and Management for companies like AT&T, @Road and select “beeper” companies. While in the Fort Lauderdale area, she earned her MBA from Nova Southeastern University and had the opportunity to teach English classes at a small junior college in the area.
 
After moving back to Pittsburgh and then to Pensacola, Christa’s entrepreneurial spirit took over and she opened several cell phone stores, a business that eventually had a presence in three states, and finally, she sold. In addition to her experience in retail businesses, Christa still operates a successful small business that she started with her family.
 
Christa enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with the small businesses in Northwest Florida, and is looking forward to meeting with small business owners in the Navarre area and helping them take advantage of all the services that the Florida SBDC at UWF provides at no cost.
