  • Monthly Meeting Schedule

    Our next monthly meeting is April 6, 2020 at 11:30 am at the Chamber office.

    Guest Speaker is Karen Haworth, the Director of Veteran Services of Santa Rosa County. Karen oversees two offices; the main office in Milton and the other at the South Service Center in Midway near the Zoo.
    Born in Oakland, California, daughter of retired Navy pilot; dad’s last orders to NAS Whiting Field so the family moved to Baker, FL and lived on a farm with 4 brothers.  Obtained BS degree from University of West FL and followed Marine husband to Jacksonville, North Carolina, Okinawa, Milton, then back to MCAS New River, NC.

    Never in the service, Karen is eligible as a County Service Officer as a surviving spouse of a Marine helicopter pilot killed on active duty during a training mission.  Returned to Milton in 1992 to raise her two children and be closer to family.

    Very proud parent of a daughter (Marine Corps Reserves) and son (US Navy), daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons!  Has served 15 years as a Veteran Service Officer for Santa Rosa County.

    Lunch is being generously provided by Debby Mason and the Hampton Inn of Navarre.

    The Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee works to promote communication and interaction between the military and the businesses of the Navarre Beach area. It is our goal to make all service members, past and present, and their families feel welcome in Navarre and Santa Rosa County, whether you are just here for a visit or have made it your home.
